Serbian restaurant Kotiloto has turned 10, marking its first major milestone! The celebration took place in the lush, green garden of the venue, with guests including media representatives, long-time friends, and fans of Balkan cuisine. The founders of this iconic establishment — Yonko and Daci — warmly welcomed everyone and raised a toast with the guests, who enjoyed dishes from the new summer menu. Yonko and Daci’s creativity truly knows no bounds. Every year, they come up with new offerings inspired by traditional Serbian cuisine, enriched with bold, exciting flavors. "As always, this year we’re offering a summer menu. We’ve prepared a few playful surprises for our guests. Around this time every year, people know to come and try the new items, or rediscover old favorites that we’ve reinvented and presented with a fresh twist,” says Daci. “One of the dishes on this summer’s menu is uštipci bites, served in warm bread. These are small grilled meat patties, topped with hot kajmak, slightly spicy — something every grill enthusiast would love. This year we’re focusing on freshly picked porcini mushrooms, since they’re in season, and we’ve created several dishes featuring them. One of our new appetizers is porcini mushrooms sautéed in butter with fresh onion and egg — a great combination. Other specialties include veal tongue with porcini and pljeskavica with mushrooms and egg. The flavors are rich and very well received.” As a true grill master, Chef Dalibor Marinković – Daci prepared wild game meat for the event’s guests. The enticing aroma of grilled meat on charcoal filled the air. A special guest at the 10th anniversary celebration was top model Diana Ivancheva. She tried nearly every dish on the table, which was overflowing with Balkan delicacies, and was enchanted by the authentic Serbian flavors. “Ten years — not too many, not too few… we hardly even noticed them go by! And here we are, proudly saying we’ve completed a decade. Time flies when you live life full throttle, just like we do. Time is only a measure, but it reflects our experience. As of today, we can honestly say to you, our friends, that all these years we’ve dedicated solely to you. Every day, we’ve strived to create delicious dishes from Serbian national cuisine and a warm, welcoming atmosphere with just one goal — to make you want to return to our restaurant again and again, to feel like friends, and to celebrate your happiest moments with us. And if there’s one wish we could make for this anniversary, it would be to keep going together — to keep welcoming you and sending you off like close friends, and to continue making Serbian Restaurant Kotiloto your second home,” share Yonko and Daci, the beloved restaurant’s owners.
